| Wow, you guys really digressed on this topic, so i'm gonna step up and try to get it back on track! :-P
As many of you know, I came to Believe from Elysium - long story, wasn't happy there anymore - let's just leave it at that. One thing I did love about Elysium though was how organized they were, and how they took advantage of the days of the week in the game.
Here's a list of examples of what I mean:
Mondays: Production days - Guild production party up from sun up to sun down. Everyone would pitch in to collect materials for those with higher ranking production skills (e.g. Blacksmithing, Handicrafting & Tailoring). This only benefits the guild as a whole. With specific people taking on specific jobs in the guild, no one has to want for anything and specific people get to rank up their life skills quicker. If you want to have that Val's made, you go to the guild blacksmith by catching them online, or sending a request through email. Within days, hours or minutes, you have access to whatever it is you want. You may have to buy a pattern, or collect materials, but at least you have someone to count on to make you what you need.
Tuesdays: Dungeon drop days - Guild runs for items dropped in dungeons to acquire skills etc. since there is an increase in items dropped by mobs in the dungeons.
Wednesdays: Animals and Nature drop days - good days to do Guild PQs while hunting (for example) fine leathers from kobolds in Reighnalt etc., or doing exploration looking for items found outside.
Thursdays: Magic day - send the guild enchanter all your b/s to burn and let him or her beef up your weapon of choice for you. Also a good day to have more advanced players with older characters proff weapons for you with the increased proficiency rate on weapons.
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: Not much for bonuses unless you're in to doing part time jobs or exploration, so since everyone is online, let's do some of the harder stuff like Peaca Raids or adv dungeon runs. It'll help build experience and outside of that - they're fun as hell!!
In Elysium, Saturdays and Sundays were also reserved for stuff like TNN and Baol runs. Our strongest players teamed up with those trying to finish these and get their acheivements. If no one needed any of these runs, we'd just do whatever people felt like doing.
Outside of all this stuff, shortly before I left, they'd established a system of getting to know people in the guild...building friendships and cameraderie. This system took the senior members of the guild (they had like 10 Jr. Officers) and paired them with either newer members of the guild, or weaker characters. Every week, the Jr. Officer would be assigned a new member or weaker character to hang out with and assist in obtaining/finishing quests, etc. They used their forum to "sign up" and disseminate the buddy list for that week. Those people got in touch with their buddy, and just hung out for that week, introducing them to other members, doing runs, working on skills, etc. Again, this is a great way to build friendships, while improving the weaker members skills and levels, and developing a good rapport with all the members in the guild.
Phew! Okay, that's my two-cents...for what it's worth. If any of you are up for any of these ideas, or if you can add to the list of ideas....BRING IT!
Hope to see you soon in-game!

ary tell me how big was ur guild? Hey vasu, When I joined last summer they were one of the largest on Mari with ~144 members on the roster. Take into consideration that they all have at least 1 alt (but more like 2 or 3) in the guild and they also used mule characters for guild storage, drop that mumber down to probably 50 active participants. A couple months after I joined, the numbers started dwindling, and by the time I came back after my long fall semester hiatus, the total number on the roster was only 88. When I left, the new guild leader was trying to build membership back up again, but there were really only about 15 people who were actively participating out of that 80-some members. Most of the 80-something were those aforementioned alts and mules. Most of the others had moved on, or gotten kicked out because the new GL didn't like them for one reason or another. Lots of drama there - no need to explain.

Not really Dark, if everyone pitches in just a little. Again, Elysium had several Junior Officers - core members entrusted with responsibilities by the GL and 1st Officer. For example, if Kawa and Vasu wanted to, they could assign one Junior Officer for say, Monday - Thursday responsibilities (One Junior Officer for each day that is). That person's job would be to log in on that specific day of the week to make sure that day's activities are being implemented. If the person knows they're not going to be around on a specific day, they can always ask someone else to handle the task - e.g. Logging in on Monday morning and creating a password protected production party for guild members to join throughout the day. Anyone on broadband, who can leave themselves logged into mabi can do this, and they don't even have to be playing. The other days would be a little more difficult, because someone would have to take the initiative to organize guild runs for dungeons and party quests, but here again...anybody can do this, and you don't need one specific person to do it all the time, you just need one person to make sure it's happening. More importantly, everyone needs to know what days of the week to do what things, to gain the most benefits, and follow the schedule accordingly. I'm going to start another thread for people to list their best skills, so we can start delegating the who's who in the guild. Let's everyone chime in and hopefully we'll have some pretty good numbers to start with! //Kat

| yea we could try to get the skills listed out
i was wondering abt the production thing bcoz.. they say potion making
in out guild we have like 3 or 4 ppl doing potion making at most and if we 4 make a party it wont give us 99% success rate.. so eventually we have look for other production parties
we can probably do this.. we can use the production day to help ppl in improving the skiils
